If you’re feeling confused or unsure then read below to learn how she can help …

Firstly, what is perimenopause?

You may have heard this word a lot lately but what exactly does it mean? Well, essentially perimenopause is the period of time before actual menopause –when some women experience symptoms that indicate a change is happening.

What are the most common perimenopause symptoms?

Every woman is different – and while some may be lucky enough to experience little or no symptoms at all, others really do suffer with a whole host of complaints which can include; poor sleep, night sweats, irregular periods, increased anxiety, itchy skin, low libido, hot flushes and so much more.

At what age do most women experience perimenopause and menopause?

Perimenopause usually starts in the mid to late 40’s but again this can vary hugely and it can be much earlier. The average age of menopause is 50.

What can a doctor do to help?

If you are not feeling yourself but you don’t know whether it’s anything to do with the menopause then the best thing is to come and see Dr. Ruhil who can help assess your hormone levels and talk to you about any symptoms you might be experiencing. From here, she can then tailor make a suitable treatment plan that might include HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) and talk to you about lifestyle changes and ways in which you can feel your very best.
