Immunisations are a very important part of a child’s medical treatment. We follow

the DHA protocol here and can guide you through the different immunisations

given. Each country has its own immunisation schedule and we can make sure

that your child does not miss out on any essential immunisations.

I am unsure of whether my daughter should have the HPV vaccine, can I talk to the family doctor about this?

The HPV vaccine is available in the UAE and can be given to anyone who requests it. It is not a mandatory vaccine as per the DHA protocol but it is strongly advised that all children have it. The doctor can have a talk to you

about why you are hesitant and discuss the advantages of protecting you children from the HPV virus as there are many. Your family doctor is there to help you make the decision that suits you and your family on all matters including immunisations.
