We’re talking Blepharoplasty (eyelift or eyelid surgery) – performed to make your eyes appear more youthful and now one of the most asked-for procedures in Dubai.
Well unlike some anti-aging solutions this one does involve ‘going under the knife but this really is nothing to worry about. Not only are our surgeons highly qualified but also this procedure is straightforward and involves removing sagging and excess skin on the eyelids and under the eyes.
An incision is made on the crease of your eyelids and then rejoin the skin with little stitches. It will look a little red for a few days but the crease is the perfect place to hide the very faint scar that will remain.
If you opt (or need – our surgeons will advise) for both upper and lower eye areas then the procedure will take between 1 hour to 1.5 hours.
It’s important to remember that everybody heals at their own rate. But usually, the eye area will be a little sore and swollen for up to 3 weeks – more likely between 1 and 2 – but honestly, it’s nothing dramatic at all and will heal quickly and look great in no time!
Apart from ‘opening’ the eyes, for many people having ‘droopy’ eyelids actually makes them feel tired. It can also be difficult to apply makeup in the way that you’d like. The difference between eyes that have been ‘hooded’ or that have had large under-eye bags is really noticeable – leaving you looking youthful and fresh.
