HYDROCOLONTHERAPY: Health comes from the belly

Every day, we are bombarded with information about what we eat, but equally important is the environment in which this food is metabolised and the elimination of what is no longer needed: waste products. These functions are performed by our digestive system, especially the intestine. Think about what happens to spring water when it is introduced into a dirty vessel… even the purest and clearest water becomes contaminated! This is also what happens inside our body: we can introduce the best and purest food in the world, but if our intestine is in poor condition, if we suffer from intestinal dysbiosis, if we have accumulations of faeces or mucus, and if fermentative and putrefactive processes are present, even the best food will struggle to provide us with the right nourishment.

Dysbiosis, meaning the alteration of the intestinal bacterial flora, both qualitatively and quantitatively, can manifest in these aspects:

– Mild dysbiosis, alteration of the intestinal flora with involvement of the organs of the gastrointestinal tract (colitis, swelling, flatulence, constipation…)

– Moderate dysbiosis, alteration of the intestinal flora with involvement of the organs of the gastrointestinal, urogenital, and respiratory system (recurrent cystitis and candidiasis, pharyngitis, otitis, allergies…)

– Severe dysbiosis, severe alteration of the intestinal flora, with lymphogenic seeding of toxins affecting all organs (here systemic manifestations occur, even leading to autoimmune, neurological, degenerative, and tumour pathologies)

Dysbiosis is caused by various factors: poor chewing; food intolerances; nutritionally depleted foods from industrial processes; incorrect food combinations; overeating and doing so at the wrong times; incorrect use of medications, especially antibiotics and corticosteroids, as well as the abuse of laxatives; environmental pollution, but also mental preoccupations (worries, sorrows, negative emotions); stress. The intestine is a very important organ, representing about 70% of our immune system, and this helps us understand why important pathologies can manifest when its balance is altered. Therefore, it is fundamental to be concerned not only about what we eat but also about the health and well-being of our internal organs, especially the intestine.

A relatively unknown therapy that brings great benefits to the intestine and, therefore, to maintaining health, crucial in the path of well-being and prevention, is HYDROCOLON THERAPY.
