IV vitamin and mineral infusions

At Cornerstone clinic we offer a full range of IV vitamin and mineral infusions that are safe and minimally invasive to boost your well-being and rejuvenate your body, inside and out.

Why should I get an IV vitamin and mineral infusion?

There are many circumstances that you would benefit from an IV infusion packed full of vitamins and minerals:

  • Have you been told you have any vitamin deficiencies? An IV infusion can provide a quick and direct way to replenish these nutrients. The family physician (GP) at Cornerstone Clinic can also do a blood test to check your vitamin and mineral levels before and provide a personalized infusion cocktail to ensure you are getting the most out of the treatment.
  • Have you recently been unwell or a recovering from surgery? During your recovery, your body may require extra support to heal and regain strength. IV infusions can provide those essential nutrients to speed up the recovery process.
  • Suffering with low energy levels and feeling fatigued? Your Family physician can offer you an IV infusion containing energy-boosting vitamins and minerals for a quick pick-me-up.
  • Had a busy weekend celebrating? An IV infusion can help alleviate symptoms of a hard partying weekend. Hydration along with essential nutrients to clear out the system can be a life saver for getting back to work at your best.
  • Need a boost to your immune system? Have you got a vacation planned and don’t want to get sick or are you concerned about the cold and flu season? An immune boosting IV is full of nutrients that can support your immune system.
  • Hair loss, stress management and preventative health management can all be treated with IV infusions.

IV vitamin and mineral infusions are becoming increasingly popular and there are many advantages to them. The infusions directly delivers the nutrients into the bloodstream, allowing for faster absorption in comparison to oral supplements, completely by-passing the digestive system. This can be beneficial to those with gut and absorption issues or those that need a rapid boost. This also provides higher bioavailability of the nutrients, meaning a larger percentage of the infused nutrients can be utilized by the body.

What happens during your infusion?

During your appointment the nurse will take some baseline observations – blood pressure, heart rate and oxygen saturation. A canula will be inserted into a vein in your arm and then the IV infusion will be connected. The infusion can take an hour during which time you can relax, read a book, watch a show on your phone, do some work on your computer or, best of all, have a nap.

If you are interested in an IV vitamin and mineral infusion and want to get the most out of it then book an appointment with the family physician (GP) at Cornerstone Clinic. At your appointment you will discuss what symptoms you have and what you want to achieve from the infusion. The most effective infusion would require a complete blood test which includes your vitamin and mineral profile. Your family physician will then customize an infusion which will ensure you are getting the nutrients that you require and generally 4-6 infusions over 3-6 months is advised.
