Top 5 Non Surgical Procedures for Women | Cornerstone Clinic | Dubai

In today’s modern age, with social media playing a significant role in shaping self-esteem and body image, many people are seeking ways to enhance their appearance without the need for invasive surgery. A safer, more effective, and less invasive way to seem younger and more refreshed is through non-surgical methods. Cornerstone Clinic offers a range of non-surgical procedures that are safe, effective, and minimally invasive. Here are the top five non-surgical procedures that have gained popularity among women:

1. Neurotoxins (Botox, Dysport…)

Botox is a popular non-surgical procedure that involves injecting Botox, or Botulinum Toxin as it is formally known, which is not a poison – despite its slightly intimidating name. It is a purified protein that blocks nerve signals and prevents your facial muscles from moving – which in turn stops you from being able to fold or wrinkle your skin (like in a frown). And, as a bonus, while your muscles are temporarily immobilised, you are also breaking habits by not using them to crease your face, meaning that you aren’t creating deeper lines but are actually preventing new ones from being formed. It is particularly effective for treating frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead lines. The injections are not painful (think more of a ‘pinch and a pinprick’ than a deep injection) and are administered quickly – you can expect to be finished within approximately 15 minutes. You may have a few tiny red marks where the needle was inserted for a short while after treatment but these will fade and the Botox will gradually take effect over a week to 10 days. Botox is one of the best almost-instant anti-ageing solutions and can be combined with a number of our other treatments, from fillers to profhilo injections.

2. Dermal Fillers:

Dermal fillers, also known as fillers, are gel-like injectables administered under the skin that can help decrease the effects of volume loss, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and help you contour your face, leaving a more enhanced or symmetrical appearance. They are often used to treat nasolabial folds, under-eye bags, and sunken cheeks. It is important to remember that injectable fillers are not permanent. You should not expect the same long-lasting results that may be gained from cosmetic surgery. Injected material is eventually absorbed by the body. One of the advantages is that the results can be ‘erased’ immediately using hyalase.

3. Skin Boosters:

Skin boosters, such as Profhilo and New Cellular Treatment Factor (NCTF), are specifically designed to improve skin hydration and elasticity. They are often called the ‘injectable moisturiser’, Profhilo basically involves having a stabilised hyaluronic acid injected into areas where the skin has become loose and less young looking (around the eyes, the cheeks, jawline, nose and sides of the face). Profhilo can also be applied to areas such as the neck, décolleté, hands and arms – all of which are quick to show our age but which can’t often be helped by other anti-ageing treatments. While Profhilo might sound like a filler, it is in fact very different as it diffuses into the skin and boosts overall complexion rather than just acting on one area to fill creases.

4. Microneedling:

Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure that involves puncturing the skin with tiny needles and it can be done on both the face and the scalp. This process stimulates collagen and elastin production, which can help to improve skin texture, reduce the appearance of scars, reduce pore size, and help with hair loss.

5. Radiofrequency and Laser Skin Tightening:

Radiofrequency Skin Treatments can target stubborn, problematic areas, leaving your skin feeling lighter, tighter, and smoother in just a few sessions. Radiofrequency Therapy’s triple-action effects include radio-frequency heating, vacuum massage, and a high-amplitude pulse that delivers optimal energy to treatment areas.

Laser treatments can be used for a variety of purposes, including:

  • Skin resurfacing: Laser resurfacing can help to improve skin texture, reduce the appearance of wrinkles, and treat acne scars.
  • Pigmentation correction: Laser treatments can help to treat hyperpigmentation and melasma.
